jobs.

Acquiring a job is not required - it's entirely possible to get by in Dualis with living in the dorm and surviving on your monthly stipend. However, if your character would like additional spending money for body mods and weapons and fancy dinners, getting a job will help with that!
Available jobs are usually entry level office work (think tech support, data entry, receptionist, etc.) or service/retail work (bartending, waiting tables, assisting in shops, serving lattes, etc.) No management positions are immediately available to newcomers but may be applied for after six months of steady employment at the same company.
Work is either part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time (40 hrs/week). If you're a workaholic type, you can work up to 60 hours a week in any combination of full-time and part-time jobs - i.e., one of each, three part-time jobs, etc.
Part-time jobs pay 200 duos per month, and full-time jobs pay 400 duos per month. This is considered standard entry-level salary, since it is assumed that newcomers to Dualis are living in the dorms at no cost and receiving the monthly stipend.
Work chosen for characters can either fit their skills and experience or be something they've never done before, except for in cases where specialized knowledge and experience are required. Work as a nurse or mechanic, or joining the police force would all require previous training and experience, as opposed to jobs like a barista or sales associate, where skills can be taught on the job.
If you'd like the mods to select a job for your character at random, please note it in the comments below.
